Caroline Myss once said that she was given a passion for which she had very little skill, and a skill for which she had very little passion. In fact, if she had fully understood her gift, she would have been too frightened to pursue it! Her passion kept her distracted while the gift developed.

Caroline Myss learned, through a series of (to her) troubling experiences, that she is a medical intuitive. She can read energy fields, and discern the sources of physical illness or distress. As she began to understand her gift and accept it, she saw patterns of energy, and connections between emotional, spiritual and physical conditions. Her first book, Anatomy of the Spirit, laid out the emotional and spiritual issues that were connected to different energy centres (chakras) in our bodies.

She continues to break new ground in explaining the chakras, and the mind-body-spirit connection.
